To Learn is to Live…

…or something like that!

I learnt a new word: Proso…, Propa…, Prospa…, …pagnosia. Hell with that, have a look at this video to learn the new word:

So, the word is: Prosopagnosia meaning ‘Face-blindness’!

After I heard the explanation by Mr. Close, I almost instinctively remembered Sora, from the now ‘infamous’ manga Sketchbook (here at my blog), who also has some version of it as is evident from these panels:

Sora and Ooba-senpai

Sora and Asou-san

Just so you know, Asou(-san) usually keeps her hair tied into two ponytails like this:

Natsumi Asou

Hope you enjoyed these. If yes, then also check out

  1. I heard about Chuck Close in a radio show. It is a bit interesting but also a bit long:

  2. The embedded audio and the download link do not seem to work there!

  3. "Prosopagnosia" -even blogspot underlines it when I typed it in here.
and after following ur wiki link to the same only one question comes to mind: What other mental malady did Dirac have?

  4. I don't get the 'what other' phrase in your last sentence! He definitely was not prosopagnosic! One of the recent biographies about Dirac suggests he was autistic or something... I think all this speculation doesn't lead one anywhere!!!
